I have recently found a error with no date and it's not scratched off or an offset. Any ideas?

to the forum!

No premium worth, not considered a mint error, just part of the minting process working with worn dies.

I agree it's a partial grease-filled die. It would have to be a lot more substantial to have much of a premium.

Also, with a lot of errors, those that are dateless are generally worth less than the same error that shows the date (e.g. off-center strikes).

to CCF. Weight it. 3.11g is copper and 2.5g is copper plated zinc. You could get a small premium on the bay,but don't give up your day job

If it is a zincoln, my guess is 1996 D. If it is a copper, I guess 1976 D.

Nice find!. I can tell the date range on pennies since that is the only thing I really search. This coin must have been made from 1969-1973 from the obverse design.
