Picked up a $50 bag of pennies today and it's full of copper lincolns. Newest coin I have found so far is 1978, and pulled one 56 D out as well. Lots of early 70s pennies in au condition. Pretty cool to find I'll post more pics when I get it all sorted.

Face value, I payed $50 to the bank. I usually go in every Tuesday and see if they have filled a bag because they ship them off Tuesday night.

It just seems odd that a bank will sell you a bag of 5,000
Lincoln cents and they all happen to be 95% copper at face value ? I can understand maybe 1/4 of the bag copper , but the whole bag ?

I've considered dumping my copper on many occasions and then I forget I have them, so it doesn't surprise me to see a full bag of copper cashed in.... My guess is I'll cash mine in the day my wife finds it. It's been in the same spot for 3-5 years so I'm guessing it could be a long time until anyone notices an unmovable storage bin

I used to get all the bagged change I wanted. I was doing my Bank a favor by taking their change. They normally have to pay to have it picked up. I just promised to take the change to another Bank. The Manager would order Halves and even Ikes when I wanted them. It was a great deal for both of us.

I also recently dumped over $300 in copper at my local CU. They just bagged it up and shipped it off. Someone is probably going to get a couple of really good boxes.
