I bought this pretty gem of a coin for $124. What do you think it grades? The surfaces are actually really brilliant in hand, but I am not a very good photographer.

I was surprised when I saw the strike. I thought it was remarkably well struck for a O mint coin. That is a big reason why I bought it.

Anyway, I am taking this back to ANACS for a possible regrade. Living so close to the ANACS drop-off office has its perks.

It looks MS64 to me and is well struck. I'd only go MS63 if the luster was weak. The reverse fingerprint distracts a little but it's still a choice coin.

I would grade it MS63. MS64 if you ignore the field marks and fingerprint. Very nice coin! She will look really beautiful in a slab!
Rest in Peace

Monotone color photo makes it difficult to see some areas, especially on the obverse. Looks solid 63.

Max MS-63. I am closer to the MS-62 mark. The reverse looks a bit PL.

There's a lot of noise in the fields and that hit near the eye is tough, MS63 maybe.

MS62 tops. The reverse appears PL and the obverse just shy. Very nice example for '79-O although it is a typical sharp strike for the date.

Very hard to grade accurately from those pics but I'd say 62 rev PL

It is MS 60 CAM PL. ANACS says it is no more than a 60.
