Please help identify this coin it looks like a Saudi Arabia Gold Guinea but has a the marking as if it were a "1/2 Guinea." I believe it is some sort of restrike. The gold content is correct at .916 purity (tested with XRF) As always thanks for the help!

See the MDM 22 above the circle on your 1st picture. That makes me think of this https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces103569.htmlalthough the link is not the same- it is also the 1 Gunayeh, the presence of the MDM 22 is a clue that this is a commercial copy as well.

Thanks, That's about the extent my research led me to as well, just can not find a similar "1/2" version.

Hello, just joined this website in order to reply you :) few notes here: 1st, your coin is not listed in Krause Unusual World Coins nor any other denomination other than the 1 Gunayh similar to the original coin. both the original and the copy are dated 1370. yours though is dated 13x4. the 3rd digit is weird. 2nd, usually the MDM22 is at the left, yours is different at the top. 3rd, apparently other denominations do exist. and I just found out that. source: https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=l...1906&lot=537added: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces115079.htmlthat piece is dated 1374 so I'm thinking that probably should've been the date on yours that piece though has MDM21 instead of MDM22. 4th, I've added your piece to our database in Numista https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces115078.htmlWould you be generous to allow us use your pictures? Your name copyrights would go under the pictures of course. thanks in advance. Also, weight and diameter would be helpful. I'm guessing yours should be around 4g 5th, I didnt find anything yet, but I wouldn't be surprised now to find a 1/4 Gunayh piece as well
