Is this coin a doubled die? I always have trouble.

I see some circulation hits on the letters but no doubling.

I'm trying to get better pictures. The coin if so red it's hard.

There is the lightest of shifts on a couple of the letters, but that's not doubled die.

Year may help narrow it down. EPU and dots look odd, but think from die wear. The initials FG are pretty faint as well. I'll have to wait for better image(s) or explanation of what you're seeing as DD. Thanks, Doug.

Halo, the A & E in States and does the letters in E Pluribus Unum look fatter then normal. Still working on better pics.

Is this better?

Fatter letters aren't indication of DDO / DDR, they're just signs of late stage die wear. Think of the die, it's numbers/letters as being formed with edges on angle (tepee). When dies are polished the depth is reduced, further down the face of die goes, wider letters become. If you see that the ends of letters have notches, like U, M etc, then it may be a DDO / DDR. We need closer and clearer pix to determine that.
