The best way to know for sure is compare it to another of the same year. To find out what the normal devices size is. MD leaves a flat doubling, DD is just like the normal devices, but without as much relief.

I have had a few error ASE like the thinning of the rim if you can call it that but never cared it's just bullion to me, and don't sell my coins ever, in a few decades I will
