You'll never regret studying abroad. I did, and it changed my career choice completely. Good luck!

In the early 1990s I got interested in Roman Coins. I taught myself to read the inscriptions. I got really good at it. In the mid 1990s I got an opportunity to visit Rome and the Vatican. As an Archaeologist I wrote the Cardinal in charge of the excavations under St. Peters, and asked permission to visit. I was granted permission.

When I arrived at my Hotel in Rome, the clerk was elated to hand me two envelopes that were delivered by Swiss Guard, and from the Vatican.

Myself and fellow Archaeologist and long time Roomate, Christina, were approved to see the dig!

There was an opportunity to evaluate some coins. I evaluated 165 coins of Elagabalus, of whom I'm an expert at.

What is it that you're studying exactly? General studies or something specific?

How exactly? I looked into doing a semester at sea when I attended college for my first degree. I can't remember what the total price tag was, but I remember it being somewhere in the neighborhood of $NOPE. Reality bit hard in the Fall of 1993. LOL.

$17,500 accumulated in your 6 month plan. Way to go! I had three careers, and returned to college when I was 35 to get my Bachelors with Honors in a Science Major. A well planned education is about the best investment these days.
