That is in pretty rough shape. It seems to be the "head of '34" I think N-1. Probably worth about $5-$10 because of the rough condition.

Pass on the coin. The coin has rim damage, corrosion, pitting. Try to collect coins that are problem free.

Yep 35 N-1 Head of 34, large 8, point of leaf near center of S2. R-1+ VERY common value less than $10, with all the damage probably $5.

It isn't even a nice hole filler. It's just plain beat.

There is no head of 1834 just '36. Could I conserve it through PCGS? I got it for %5 on ebay. Good deal?

You paid about what it is worth $5.24 plus $2.95 shipping.
I am not sure what you mean about head of 36. I am pretty sure this coin is head of 34. And lastly no point in conserving such a coin. Even if and I say if, PCGS could improvethe coins appearance, the value would hardly increase. Certainly not enough to cover the costs of conservation.

1835 comes with two different head styles one that was used from 1816 through 1834, and one used in 1836 and 37. They are called head of 34 and head of 36. The head of 34 was used on N-1-6,9-13,18, and 19. Many of these are scarce or rare. The head of 36 was used on N-7,8, and 14-16 All of these are common. N-17 is a die state of N-7.

No sense sending it for conservation, they can't fix the damage and it would wind up costing you about 7 or 8 times what it would be worth once if was done.

Don't send it in for conservation. They can't fix the damage.
The coin is worth about $5.

Try to collect coins that are problem free, so you don't want to upgrade them later on.
