Hi,
New here and was hoping to get some answers about these burn marks I am finding in rolls of uncirculated 2017 D Lincolns. Anyone know what's goin' on here? Both photos are two different examples.

to CCF. That is where the copper plating is missing and the zinc is starting to rot.

I am sure this is normal, but is there any extra value in something like this? Worth keeping?

Not worth keeping. It is a spender.

Looks more like a something on the coin changing the color of the coin. If it were a missing plating issue, the color would be gray and not radiate outwards. Something on the coin that altered the plating.

I have seen these in BU rolls a lot. I think it is just a bad copper plating issue. Maybe something gets on the zinc blank that prevents the copper from adhering to it.
