If you are talking on the left wheat stalk, that's probably from a die chip. Cud are on a coin's rim.

It's a die chip.

Also, that .gif makes it very difficult to examine what is there. Just post a couple clear pics.

Thanks for the info. I should get a new camera so I can just post a few really clear photos. Or maybe just get a loupe.

No new camera needed. The very first image in that .gif shows it the best. If you just posted that pic, it would be enough to diagnose a die chip on the wheat stalk.

How did you make that gif? That format would come in handy for showing off luster and other things you can't show with just static images. Thanks.
