The shop that I frequent (and work at occasionally) has upped the price on the 08's...all dates but the 96 can be had for $2 above spot, the 08's are now $5 above spot. His supplier said he is out and cannot find more, what that means I am not sure. I did hear that the mint suspended striking the 08's ...I am foggy as to why, maybe someone else can comment on this.
As far as other dates and just rounds...no shortage here. I just rolled 26 rolls of accumulated
ASE's from the last month of buying at the shop, covering most all years. The round/rectangle 1 oz bars are pretty plentiful too...every week they take to the smelter, but more and more comes in. Sellers outnumber buyers right now at least 7-1 at this particular shop, so bullion is not hard to come by.
This does not include the 200 or so rolls of
ASE's in stock, or the couple hundred silver bars/rounds of various weights in the store at any one time...no problems here !
If anyone has any needs they cannot meet, let me know- I am trying to convince the shop owner he needs an internet presence to sell some of his stuff.
