Gold wash over silver over brass? Too heavy at 33.5 grams verses 17.8 grams stated in Krause. Measures 39.4 mm by 70.7 mm. Nearly 2 mm thick. This is an OLD coin and not a modern forgery. I think it is too heavy to be a contemporary counterfeit. The coin shows wear from heavy usage.
You say it's not a modern forgery... why? What is the provenance, or how could you prove this isn't one of those cheap tourist pieces that "souvenir" shops have been pumping out?
