I found a 2016 p nickel and the edge of it on both sides is sharp kinda looks like a train wheel just opposite I guess. Is this an error.

I believe the sharp edges aren't an error,But from a coin that hasn't been circulated long enough for the edges to smooth out.

I think that was probably excessive pressure at the strike. As Newbie said, it should smooth with circulation.
