These factors together make for a desirable Roman sestertius. I can only imagine what these coins must have looked like, when they were freshly minted. These coins must have been struck hot, when the alloy was quite plastic, because they normally have very few edge splits. This coin still quite pleasing, despite the old corrosion and wear.
