I have a nice coin collection. So why am I so excited about this proof Jeff Nickel? I realize it is most likely AT, but it is a cool coin. Pictures are straight on and then off a couple of degrees to make the color pop. No color enhancements, only cropping done

It was $7 raw. I have seen slabbed purple nickels going for $100-500. So did someone do some chemical alchemy to get this thing to such a unnatural color? I think so. But I'm not sure. I feel somewhat bad that by buying this I'm promoting a dark side of our hobby. This coin is going in my "black cabinet ", the old term for a place collector kept counterfeit coins.
I'd like to hear what others think about this, and is this AT vs NT? I will say that I usually see aqua to purple toning in 1961-1964 Jeffs. Is there something special about the alloy used in those dates?
Here is a excerpt from the ebay listing, even the seller says it may be AT
"This lot is for a beautiful looking toned GEM PROOF 1962 Jefferson nickel. Coin has a killer strike with bold sharp details. Beautiful mirrors peeking through the tone gives this coin super nice eye appeal. Has extremely nice looking tone that may not be original as it looks to nice!. You get the actual coin shown in pics. This lot will make a nice addition to any collection or set."

In all probabilities they did. Un altered toning takes a long time to tone but I would bet that its been altered for sure!

I am thinking that this is AT but if it makes you happy I'm all in.

It does have a very nice strike.

I could be wrong but one of my guidelines for toners is that the toning shows differently with different lighting angles.
If this one is faked it would have fooled me.
Here is the plate coin for Coppercoins 1934P-1DR-004 which shows what I am talking about.
