Is this coin a legitimate coin or a counterfeit. Seller has sold other coins that are real. His statement is" Coin appears to be a nice problem free XF". Thank you for the help!!   Edited by murty 07/04/2017 11:27 am

The dark color worries me. Maybe was underground aka metal detecting find. Yes it looks xf. But is it a details coin remains to be seen. You can find better examples unless you can get this for dirt cheap.

The sharpness is EF, but it's got a lot of little nicks that are going to keep from ever upgrading from that. The color is odd, and does not look natural.
I believe that it is genuine, but it might not rate a "clean grade."

Agree off color, but feel the nicks are exaggerated by the pic size and don't detract that much.
