Found this today. Not sure if it is from wear and tear being in circulation or maybe error.... I think the date is 1973...the way the last two digits look. This nickel is very shiny there is also on his cheek a hole not sure what from. I was thinking that it may have not been stamped properly. Any In-put would be appreciated.

looks like someone's pocket piece. it has been just worn down. no error here.

It looks like it might of been sanded down with a belt sander.
