I have a 1977 Nickel that has no nickel coating. Is this worth anything?

First, nickels are a mixed alloy, not coated. You have a coin environmentally damaged, buried most likely and the copper has reacted by corroding! Nickels are made of copper, nickel manganese and a pinch of tin.

I found it in my husband's coin jar. I was just wondering about it because it looked odd. Thanks for the replies
