Your pics show slight MD. Need to know what year it is to find out if there are varieties.

Even if it isn't a DDR, it's a nice floating roof.

Good eye Beefer on the "floating roof".

I don't think it's a DD. A good pickup point are the dots in EPU. A DD will distort them into an oblong shape. The dots here look completely circular.

Oblong dots like Spruett001 said , plus there would be notching on the corners, possibly slight, but they'll be there. also, seems when doubling occurs on this motto, there is associated doubling above on UNITED STATES. Apparently this type of hub shift will (does) affect the complete 1/3 of coin on other similar coin examples. See 1983p DDR in coppercoins.com or a very good example.

Was hoping it was as I'm interested in seeing years other than 1969's and 1970's.

If full obverse and reverse are not doable, can the date be known for reference? Thanks, Doug.

halo1st, The date is important yes...I know this. If I put dates I automatically get it's MD...do you see split sherifs on the AM? It's more important to me to find a true DD.
Rest in Peace

Wish pix were a bit clearer, but, I do see those notches...without the necessary corresponding ridge line that SHOULD extend from them if it were doubled. Those notches look "V"ed, real similar to 1979D were for years was thought to be RPM because lower serif had notch...later debunked as a die chip, broken corner of die...same here. The edge of those devices has chipped. The other around states is worn die. Other major sign is, none of the devices are increased, they are normal sized, therefore CANNOT be a DD.

RTG, why not find out first what dates/mm have a specific type of KNOWN & VERIFIED DDO / DDR. Then search those. When I CRH, I set aside piles of 1995P, 1984P, 1988P, 1972P and those D mints I know for RPM's and then go back to search each stack, 1995P for doubled LIBERTY, 1988P & 1984P's for doubled ears, the 1998-200P's for WAM's. Sure saves time and headaches!

crazybo, I magnified the notches so they could be seen...there are ridge lines...I'm just not a good pic taker. I really thought with my magnifying the B in my upper pic would show that I have something...obviously not.

I will lay this one a side until I can get better pics...advice heard.

Sorry about that.

On the other hand sometimes without the date or ability to verify markers be it one side or the other we have nothing to substantiate a cross reference too.

Maybe someone else can, but my eyes are getting old and am not catching the notching in the "AM" with current images. I'll try again fresh in the morning and maybe I'll see better. Other things catch my eye or could be normal, pending which RDV I'm looking at. Thanks, Doug.

Because I'm hardheaded...I took a couple more pics. Still not the best...but you can see the splits...on the Ted of united

Another-Doubling-Question

This pics for crazybo...here are the rigdelines...what I call doubling..ha ha...my coin terminology isn't the best.

Another-Doubling-Question

There are ridge lines on the top & bottom (and some sides) of all letters on the reverse of the coin. Since it is just ridgelines...the size is not changed dramatically.

This is my last post on this coin...unless someone actually sees what I see.
