I don't know who it could have been surmounted by but I do admit I've never seen anything like it

Looks like someone was practicing stamping Kennedy's profile onto a Lincoln Cent.
People did this then sold them as novelties.
The twp presidents face each other and these rae commonly called "Kissing president coins"

Cool find, but no way to really know who made it.
Rest in Peace

Pretty sure that's laser etched, look at heat marks, CDC machine perhaps...they weren't doing the dead press on LWCs folks, never have. The other on head is part of lower Kennedy neck, some kind of machine tracing.

to CCF. It is a counter stamped coin. Not much if any value. No way to know who did it.

I appreciate the feedback, especially from cwb. I looked up the "kissing presidents" and found some great information. You can find them on ebay with the tag "lincoln kennedy penny". Apparently someone in the 1970s came up with a quick way to make a buck by stamping Kennedy's likeness next to lincoln and shared some of the strange coincidences between the two. It definitely isn't going to make me rich but I really enjoy the history and stories, this is why I enjoy collecting.

Thanks!!
