Hi everyone,
I searched for this similar error before posting but could not find it. I know absolutely nothing about coins, so am curious if this is damage or an error? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It appears that the rim got crushed. I'm not sure what happened to the lower edge of the bust. It might be something like solder or it might be an error.

Can you get a closer pic of the that glob?

Post mint damage. It is a misplaced metal which has been pushed away from the Bust by force,a good portion of the Bust above the 9 & 5 has been scraped away as well.

Thanks for posting a close-up. It isn't an error coin after all, but keep searching. There's good stuff out there still.

Good luck.
