Everyone gripes, moans and complains about fingerprints appearing on their modern day MS coins. But very few mention the beautiful toning that can result from those dirty fingers 100 years later.

I would like to see more of them. Here is my first example:

I'm not really seeing the fingerprints or toning on that one.

I have a couple. Fingerprints don't always create toning, just stronger prints.

This one has some toning that may be related to the prints:

This one just has a lot of prints :

Really? Crap, I've got to figure out how to take better pictures of my coins. Fingerprints are all over the darn thing. Looks like something my nephew got ahold of after devouring Hershey's chocolate bar.

Halloween isn't for quite a while, so I'm afraid I wouldn't post anything. Fingerprints always scare me to death!

From an 1880 S. The obverse has very dark toning so there might be some there if I could see through it.

Print is near the Mint Mark.

I'll have to see what I have. I try to avoid fingerprint coins, but I may have a few.

It looks great. I think fingerprints really give coins character. Much more so than boring blast white ms coins.

I absolutely love this coin. I paid $53 for it. I have it posted on ebay now. I think at least some of this toning was caused by a fingerprint.

I won't purchase a coin with a fingerprint. It's a pet peeve of mine.
