Yeah from what I see I agree. On any given day this coin could grade 35 or 45 from NGC. I've seen some coins recently that eroded my confidence in NGC.

I'd be fine owning that as a 40. It's an attractive coin.

I thought this coin would grade at least 45 when I sent it in to NGC. I have been a supporter of NGC for years but lately I'm not so sure. Next batch might go to PCGS.

The two gouges on the obverse kill it for me. I would not have gone higher than 40 TPG

I'm not sure if that's a knock on NGC or a compliment...depends on your perspective. I guess your saying NGC grading is too conservative?

I agree with the XF-40 grade.

It's her dimples. Some people think they are cute, others not as much. Great coin!

I would also say XF45. I have one also graded XF40 from SEGS I think is slightly overgraded, probably VF35, but you definitely see a wide range of grades for similar looks coins of this type.

I think this one might make EF-45. Sending to TPG's is always a crap shoot. That's why so many coins get sent in over and over.

I would agree with 45 for the obverse without question. The reverse may have pulled it down.

It may not be the smoothest 45 I've ever seen but I do think it has the requirements for the grade ..... IMHO
