Perth Mint - The coin's reverse features the Star Trek: The Next Generation 30th Anniversary logo and Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the foreground with Locutus of Borg, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D and the Borg Cube in the background. The design also includes The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark.

OK, I am an admitted STNG fan. But, I just can't get into these "colorized" coins. It seems to be the next big thing and I'm sure I will languish in Old Codger land eventually. Plus, the price seems high to me, even for a limited production item.

If only they had ones made out of Latinum! (yes, wrong show but right universe!).

I agree. You know, it would be a pretty decent design otherwise and I might have been interested.

More accurately, gold pressed latinum. Latinum itself is a liquid. Also, for what it is worth, it was mentioned in at least two TNG episodes ('Gambit, Part '1' and 'Firstborn'), so you are okay here.

I have a very few colorized coins that I actually like...but yes, they are over
doing to the point I am not a fan of most anymore. This one included.
