Looks like a VLDS to me. (Very late die stage)

both are correct. Look at the lines radiating from under hair to rim, that is "metal flows lines". As dies get pounded the metal moves outward, the dies become overpolished , details stretch, get bigger like date and mushy. The MM is MD actually, but because of VLDS the edges of incuse detail of die are no longer sharp enough to show that on other details.

I agree that it is Die Deteration Doubling. It's very obvious do to the letters being very mushy and thick. Keep looking though. :)
