I bought this off of ebay for 10.00. It's in bad condition with environmental damage, but that's why I got it for a bargain.

Thank you John1. I just got this so I would have it in my collection. Plus I wanted a low price. :)

I'm glad you like your coin. But remember that most old timers will tell you that bargains are bargains for a reason and when it comes time to sell it will be hard to recoup a small portion of your $10.

I don't mean to sound uppity, but the best possible condition you can afford is almost always the wisest choice even though it often requires patience.

I would have saved my money and got a MS67 or up example. with Moxking. It'll be very hard to recover any value. I'm still young at 16, but have been collecting for four years, and did the same thing you are doing. Now, I save up for nicer examples, and they are so much more enjoyable. If the coin brings you enjoyment, then that's great! But from an investment/eye appeal standpoint, I'd personally save my cash. I think $10 was reasonable enough though.

Haha John1. Good for you. I never got one face value, but I got a 1984 LC "doubled ear" Doubled Die Obverse for face value. :)

Not a bad purchase and it's always nice to have a "real deal" doubled die to view in hand.

I bet acetone and Verdi-Care would help that coin substantially.

I think you got a good deal, as already said, it's nice to have a decent Variety on hand. They're not making anymore of these, supply and demand says the value will go up.
