But remember that most old timers will tell you that bargains are bargains for a reason and when it comes time to sell it will be hard to recoup a small portion of your $10. I don't mean to sound uppity, but the best possible condition you can afford is almost always the wisest choice even though it often requires patience. Report this Post to the Staff

It'll be very hard to recover any value. I'm still young at 16, but have been collecting for four years, and did the same thing you are doing. Now, I save up for nicer examples, and they are so much more enjoyable. If the coin brings you enjoyment, then that's great! But from an investment/eye appeal standpoint, I'd personally save my cash. I bet acetone and Verdi-Care would help that coin substantially.
