Hey guys! I haven't cleaned it because I am not a fan of patina-scraping, but I wanted to see if I could get an idea of what this was. I know it is a Greek coin, but I can't tell much more than that. Thanks!

Terrible picture, but it looks a bit like Trajan. Can you take a better picture?

It makes my eyes go funny to look at it. At first I thought it was an impressionist work in oil paints.

I think perhaps Maeonia, Lydia with Herakles obverse and Omphale reverse...I'll post pics soon.

Better pics of the OP coin could only help pin it down, but for comparison: Maeonia, Lydia issues below, 2-3rd centuries, OP at top. Obv: Herakles; Rev: Omphale walking right, wearing lion's skin and holding club.

Sorry about the picture guys, it was my first one and the only camera I have is the one on my phone. Dang Bob, you found it! That's the exact one. The observe is much more eye-appealing in person, but I couldn't get that reverse figured out at all! This is the first greek coin I've ever tried to attribute, so I really appreciate the help!

Usually I like doing Roman coins, but I thought I would test the waters with a Greek lot as a challenge. Any tips on taking better pictures with a camera phone? My phone is supposed to have a high-end 21 mp camera, but I don't know how to make them look nice. Is there any software that you can suggest that's better than the 'free image optimizer' through this site? THANKS AGAIN everyone!
