Help Identifying Pope Leo XIIi Medal

Singer Valued Member United States 309 Posts	Posted 07/20/2017 2:18 pm Thanks, Aristarchus123! I am thinking this is a period piece and not something later issued as a commemorative. He lived from 1810 to 1903. He was Pope from 1878 to his death in 1903. If he was ordained in 1828, then a 50th anniversary would coincide with the start of his Papacy. (So, 1878? or 1928?) I've searched just about every Leo XII image I can find and haven't seen this one yet. Medals present difficulties for me. Thanks for your help! Report this Post to the Staff

Fourth result down was the ebay listing I mentioned in the other post. Sometimes including the name and city will help narrow the results even further if there are any on the medal.
