This was in a display case in an old hotel lobby near the famous Catholic church in Chanthaburi, Thailand. I have no idea what it is, but I got a kick out of the condition. Reign of King Rama V (Chulalongkorn) puts it in the 1868-1910 timeframe.

It is a tin att, or 1/8 fuang, undated but struck sometime after 1862. Here's the NGC page for it, with a picture of what both sides of an intact one would look like.

Tin can become brittle and fall apart under certain conditions. Looks like for this coin, those conditions have been met.
