Looks like post mint damage to me. Appears that someone has tampered with the rim somehow to give it a convex appearance on the reverse. The obverse shows definite signs of some sort of damage around the rim. I don't think it's an error at all, just damage. Exactly how it was done, I don't know, but I cannot think of anything during the minting process that would produce this effect on a coin.

This is 100 percent post mint damage. You got ripped off by this seller. You should try getting your money back.

This seller obviously didn't know anything about error coins. It's his fault on his part for selling it.

Rest in Peace

If people would only find out about HOW coins are made and the minting process, THEN just maybe they would understand just what an error coin really is, for themselves That's why I'm doing the free newbie project "Coin IDing for Dummies", (in yellow even) got the first few chapters done, if any want a prelim copy, PM me! Welcome the comments and error checks!

There are a lot of unscrupulous sellers on ebay that will try to pass off a damaged coin as some sort of "error". Stick around on this forum, read all the posts, ask lots of questions, and you will learn how to tell those fake "errors" from real ones. We're all here to help and to learn.

Yes it raised my concern right away with the curved reverse and the indentation around the edge on obverse a good sign of man made job /presses in some sort of vice devise!
