I was looking through my wheat cents today and noticed one of my 1956 looks to say LIBIERTY instead of LIBERTY due to some metal build up. Looking for some thoughts and opinions on it. Thanks guys.

That is what is referred to as a BIE error - Die Break. There are listing for them on Cuds-On-Coins.com website. Here is link that you can look through to see if yours is listed. http://cuds-on-coins.com/ldb4-1956/Congrats on your find :)

Thanks for the input. I searched the site and the closest match is the LDB4-1956-001A, but I'm not seeing any cracks towards the bottom of the coat.

Once you've found a BIE error, you'll be looking for more forever. They are great fun, especially as you add new examples.

Ok so void my last answer. It appears to be LDB4-1956-004C, notice the crack in the wheat on the reverse.

Thanks. I spend hours looking through my coins (the g/f gets annoyed but she understands, she wont spend change without me going through it). Taking the pictures has been a process to learn, using my crappy phone camera.
