That is a wonderful example of an overpolished die coin! Due to #1 die flow=as dies age, the metal moves outwards stretching the devices and forcing them to curl up around the die's edge #2 Polishing wears off the die face making the incuse details shallower and stamping "fatter" digits/details

It is a well worn slot machine coin which was minted originally by a very worn Die.

It is a damaged nickel worth face value, there is no silver content.

Circulation and abuse has flatten the devices a bit. Even before the coin was circulated, you can tell that were was an issue with extreme die wear on the reverse die. (VLDS) So as BIO mentioned it is just worth face value, even from day one because of the extreme die wear that is a distraction to the coin.
