The what happened part refers to the area immediately left of the "Y" it is incuse and almost looks like a shadow of it. Suggestions appreciated!

It sure does look like part of the Y I wonder if it could be a partial dropped letter?

I agree. These weird finds is what keeps me interested. None of these coins I posted today may be worth much, But they are worth a lot to me!
