Opinions on this 1842 Half Cent that shows signs of circulation, do you think it's genuine? Circulated proof?

Circulated proofs are known for older coins, so it is not out of the question, however, we will need to see pics of the entire coin.
Rest in Peace

Are the berries large or small on reverse?(those above HALF)will show if original or restrike. What's the weight? Should be 5.44gr and 23 mm w/plain edge.

As to a circulated proof, weren't they all proof strikes, just different times? Listed in RB 1840-49...population?

My first impression was coin looks porous like a cast copy.
Need full coin, accurate color to determine further.

Does not show the doubled T in CENT characteristic of the 1842 restrikes; this looks like an electrotype to me or even an off-metal cast copy.

Looks like a cast copy. Details are not strong enough for a proof.
