Can you guys look at this guys Mercury dimes and give me your opinion. The "vast" majority all look the same to me. Do they look cleaned to you? Your thoughts? Thanks!

Not just cleaned....but scrubbed.

I would keep shopping if it were me, unless they can be picked up for silver value. Then it wouldn't matter.
For an album or collection tho I would keep looking.

I've been looking at high grade commemorative halves from this seller "vette1986" for some time now and noticed that all photos are too bright and over-exposed. I've also noticed many cleaned coins with no mention of it in descriptions.

However, you do have an option to return for a full refund, so that's a good part.

I've bought a good deal from him because he treats the diamonds like coal, and the coal is scrubbed. His photos are always too bright. You really have to know the type well to buy from him.

Look for graded and slabbed coins that are not cleaned. I suspect all raw coins on ebay to have been cleaned.

Tom , I never buy coins from this seller , every time I look at any one of his coins I get turned off and move on .
Some guys don't have a problem with him . To each his own .

Thanks Tony. Yes, I agree. This confirms my suspicions. My first gut feeling, these are problem coins! Thanks!

I have purchased a couple of circulated U.S. coins from this seller with no issues, but not an uncirculated coin. I do agree that his photos are too bright.
