Hey guys,

Just wondering about this penny with Wisconsin state stamped above the date. I've read that these are just a novelty and aren't worth anything due to being altered after mint. Could I get a second opinion on this? Thanks!!

They are collectable, but not very valuable.

If you want to see more, take a look thorough this thread...

It could be coin #1 in a series of 50 if you chose to go after every state. Not much in the way of value but it could prove fun locating the entire set.
Rest in Peace

nfine, been looking for another state since 2015, only have 6 from back then. Sure wont be an easy collection. Have seen a cardboard layout with all 50 states, put out by a private mint.

Great pick-up and worth saving despite not really having any additional value.
