At a local coin show I bought my first modern coin! I paid $980 for a $50 platinum piece from 1998. The half ounce coin is graded MS69 by PCGS and I payed melt price for it. -PP

Very Nice Purchase.
The 2009 Red Book lists the price of Unc. at $850, but I guess the price of Platinium Increased.

If the price of platinum collapses the coin should still be worth $850.

This is one of the best ways to buy all precious metals.

WOW !.....congrats on the purchase !.......never bought any platinum myself.
I pretty much stopped buying gold last year when it kept rising. It just got too expensive for me.....I love gold coins, but OUCH !
Gotta admit.....I kinda hope gold collapses again soon so that I can buy some more buffalos and Eagles!!.....love em' !
