Very nice!

Congratulations!

1) - The '63-D looks like garbage. I have a '63-D mint set (no P set) that I initially bought to use the Franklin in the album. Still undecided if I should cut it out of the set, or buy one specifically for the album. Opinions?
I would cut it and put in the album.

2) - Out of frustration I bought the 52-S slabbed. Seemed like all the raw ones were just stupidly over priced, and this one was a very good deal. Should I leave the set the way it is, add a photo of the coin in the album, get a 'hole filler', or crack it out (this is probably not going to happen no matter how many of you say I should)?
If it is MS-64 and lower, crack it. If it is MS-65 or higher, leave it slabbed and find a cheaper filler.

Nice looking set. Congrats!

with Jonly Bonly. Cut out the '63-D and crack out the '52-S. I've never had a reason to put a picture of a slabbed coin in an album (I can understand it in certain cases) and for this set, I'd much rather have the coin in the album.

This is a set I would like to put together in the near future.

Very nice high grade set.

I have several circulated sets and I want to start a BU set after filling few more holes in my 7070 album.

Like you, I've found a couple nice slabbed coins cheaper than Un-slabbed ones... and as much as it pained me, I cracked them open.
Both were in the "40" area, but nice coins. Slabbed errors, Bugs Bunnys or anything MS-62 or above I wont break open.
That is a very nice set you have there...

Don't be afraid to crack the slab. Just be careful when you do.

No fear cracking the lower grade and lower value coins for an album.

It should be easy to up grade your 1963 d. One of my first completed sets, next you may try some proofs.
