Does anyone have an image of this scarce variety? I can't seem to find one, I would like to see a picture of it so I can determine the variety on my 1797 Half Cent.

I am not sure what you are asking to be honest. The 1797 is a C-3 with the edge gripped.

I am wanting to see the picture of the edge, to see what "Gripped" means.

Here you go, from the Goldberg sale of the Missouri Cabinet. The picture was made of the coin sitting in an angled reflector. They "photoshpped" out most of the face of the coin, what you are seeing are the denticals and then the edge of the coin around that. This is from the better of the two pieces in the sale.
