Other than the "near date" and "far date" what other errors are known on this coin, I have heard there are others?

have a few bank rolls I want to search without buying Vol.2 of the CherryPickers Guide.

The "type" S mint marks are on the proofs only. I'm not aware of any other varieties, besides the near/far date (which is 1979-P only), and my go-to resource at smalldollars.com has been down for several days.

I know of no near/far date on the 1999. There is on the 1979.

I'm gonna pick a "feet", as the Scots say...

The whole coin series is an error...

they(mint) couldn't even Figger a new design for the reverse, then that scary lady? On the front! With a terrible size, no fan of this series! No wonder it was only given out by US Post Office and banks, if asked for!

The reverse being the same as the Ike dollar was part of the legislation from Congress. And I understand that SBA's family was insistent on the specific image to use as the basis of the portrait. There's only so much any designer can do with those kinds of limitations -- credit/blame where such is due.
