You're not dreaming..........you are dreaming! Agree with John1 and WheatBackPenny. That's a weird looking hit in front of Lincolns face. For future reference, take pictures of the entire coin Obv. and Rev. from directly over the coin not at an angle. Other then that, your pictures look good!

I see both, MD and Die Deterioration. remember the coins were steel planchets and the dies were steel. So they broke down quickly that year. All kinds of strange things happened.

A doubled die would have enlarged the devices:

Die Deterioration would look like your coin.

MD reduces the size of the device, flattening part of an area of the device:

Like on the motto of your coins devices.

I have got some semblance of life back. But I've trained everyone here as best as possible. So they correct answers are still appearing here. I check to see if there are issue with some answers now and then. But if someone wants to looks at their auctions put coop in the thread title. I will see that when I looks over the threads. Some have emailed me also. But when you do please put the thread address on the link you want me to look at. It makes it easier for me to find. So when you look at the to left corner, you see an arrow pointing left. Post that HTTPS address in the link. It makes it easier to click on/copy and find easier. This thread is http://goccf.com/t/293500 (although this link was shorten on the message thread) With that address on the email, I can copy paste and get to your thread quicker than searching for the title/member name. Thanks.
