Hello all.
I need help identifying a coin. I cannot provide a picture at this time so I will describe it the best I can

The reverse has the date of 1900, ONE PENNY, and appears to be a sitting roman with a trident.

The front is of, I am assuming, Queen Victoria.
THe words around the face: "VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP"

Yes, I believe you have a penny from Great Britain. I believe the Roman is lady Brittania, kind of like our lady Liberty.

It most certaintly is a British Penny. Queen Victoria was the queen of the time she died a year after in 1901. She was a very well loved queen.

Becky you are right on the fron is the Britannia.

Unfortunatly not a valuable coin.
