Pictures would be very helpful. I think the second one is a penny, but I can't be sure.

The first one is not a real coin, firstly because the reverse legends are nothing like and real coins of that period which should be;

MAG BRI FRA ET HIB REX

And secondly because George III wasn't born in 1701, he became king in 1760.


The second one is one of the copper coins but only the size of the diameter will tell us which.

I think the first coin is a "counter" a gaming piece. The combination of date and the odd reverse inscription make me about 99% sure. I heard recently that a fellow in England has written a book cataloging several hundred varieties. I own 20 some odd versions and everyone is brass. They come in 1/2 and 1 sovereign sizes and they are loosely patterned on the Regal Gold issues (Spade Guineas).

Imitation Spade guinea is very likely. They are pretty much everywhere.
