This coin was sold to me as: IRAN, PERSIA, QAJAR, NASSERADIN SHAH, 1/2 TOMAN, AH 1324 GOLD COIN,RRR
It measures 17mm which is right. It weighs 0.7g which is
half the weight I found elsewhere.
This post lists these specs:
KM# 1071 5000 DINARS (1/2 Toman)AH1342 (1923)
1.4372 g., 0.9000 Gold 0.0416 oz. AGW, 17 mm.
Obv: Uniformed bust 1/4 left divides date
Rev: Legend within circle and wreath
Rev. Leg.: "Ahmad Shah"
I wonder about the mushy strike and the lifted edge that makes it look like it was poorly produced. Could it be a wedding token?
