So I ended up buying this straight up for $2 from a guy ahead of me in a gas station lineup. Pretty circulated but I really like it!

Nice score.
And double clipped too!
Surprised that no one had pulled it from circulation sooner.
I'm sure there are some Toonie collectors who would love to
have that one.
Can you show a picture of the reverse also?

Very cool error, but something doesn't add up here..there should be some air between the inner and outer core..really need to see a pic of the other side..

That was my first thought too silverwolf,
but then I remembered I have a photo on file of a
misaligned centre hole on a toonie, it even has a clip.

jimmy d, you must have a huge data base..i took it as an error with a question mark. but your photo helps settle my anxiety.. gotta wonder how it made it so long in circulation.

I've been collecting older/rare type coins and this is my first of this type I've come across.

Very, very cool... I know a twoonie error collector who would be drooling over this one...

Nice pick up for $2! Double clip and off-center core-hole. This is an error made at the blanking stage In the production of the ring.

Thanks for sharing.

Great find for two bucks! It's very satisfying to be able to obtain a coin such as this in the wild without having to pay a large premium.
