I've been having some problems resizing images in the optimizer and I'm not sure why. I first noticed the issue a few weeks ago when I started posting in the Days of LWCs thread. I upload a picture to the optimizer, crop it, and usually adjust the sharpness. Sometimes the picture is too small, and I like for the images in one post to be consistent (typically 300 pixels wide). Yet often times the optimizer will not let me enlarge the image, even when it's way below the 300kb limit. The width that I want it to go to turns red. I can always make images smaller, but usually they will not get bigger. I've adjusted the image quality from high to low and changed the sharpness to no effect. This wasn't a problem before but it often is now. Here's a couple screen shots of a before and after attempt to resize a cropped image:

Again the image quality and sharpness make no difference when I try to enlarge the picture, so those numbers in the screenshots are just an example. As you can see, the size is well within the limits, but the image will not enlarge. This does not always happen, but I'd say it does about 80% of the time now. Any suggestions?

No, it should never let you enlarge an image bigger than it is because pixelation occurs.

Oh I did not know that, thanks bobby! I can attest though that I have many times enlarged an image, or else I'd never have noticed this issue. Are you saying that I shouldn't be able to enlarge an image at all, even before it's cropped?

Yes, it should never allow you to make it bigger than the original size.
