I think this is a struck through,Mainly because it looks like material around the area in question hasn't been displaced. But I'd like your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

I'd tend to agree with strike through. There is very little push up around the depression, which is always a good sign.

It's an awfully neat location. Jefferson is in a really bad mood.

I hope this is what you hope it is, as it is a unique look.

I vote Scratch. Look how it progressively gets deeper as you go up the line.

I think it gets deeper,because the closer to the chin the thinner that part of the bust is. The higher in the bust is thicker. Over all this anomaly is fairly uniform in depth.

Plus the deeper it gets the more metal is pushed up around it. Especially around the top right of it.
