hi everyone, love being back with my friends on cc ....anywho, got some rolls from the bank, opened a roll of dimes & with all the shiny ones this one jumped out. it is a very dark 2017 p with what looks like a matte finish? you can see the lines in the field, even the edge has a dark side to it? compared to the shiny one next to it....i know of the black beauty nickels but ... well, I thought i'd check with the experts just to make sure ....thanks in advance for any replys

Looks like plain old toning. For a newer coin it would have to have been in a relatively caustic environment to produce such color in such a short time.

I'm thinking heat and or carbon to produce that look. Either way, pretty tone I'd hold on to it!
