Feature Request: In-Forum Notifications

First off, let me give kudos to you guys on making sure all the links work. I recently started back on this forum a few months ago and several links would be stuck in a crash loop. I went through everything this evening and I couldn't find anything wrong.

I should also mention that I am exclusively an iPad user. Any and all experiences I have are based on an iPad Pro with the latest iOS.

Now, my request:
Is it possible to have in-forum notifications whenever someone replies to our post or a thread we're following? I'm not sure how it is for computer users, but if someone replies to my thread, I have no idea unless I go looking for that specific thread and check for updates. I know there's an email notification option, (mine still goes to spam folder, even after adding to my contacts.), but it would be so much simpler if we could be notified in the forum.

I have seen this in other forums to varying degrees. From an actual notification button with new reply notifications to new posts buttons that highlight whenever there's a new reply. I think I've explained my idea ok. Let me know if I'm not making sense. I hope this idea is compatible with your forum coding.
