I know the silver coin is a tangka, and it's type B (obverse 2, reverse 2), but I am going slightly nuts comparing pictures of the various sub-types to see exactly what it is. Anyone know offhand?

The other coin seems to be a 1 sho from 1918-28, except that the obverse center doesn't seem to match any examples I can find. Am I just missing one?

Honestly, those tangkas kind of scare me. There are just so many different varieties based off the placements of dots, and I just find it confusing. So... good luck to whoever tries to narrow that one down.

As for the second one: it seems the centre lion differs between coins—I know my example of this type has an odd looking lion. I would just guess that it has something to do with the different years. There are a bunch of different varieties listed, so maybe determining a smaller date-range will help narrow it down?

The right legend in red reads 15, whereas the left legend in red reads 60. Otherwise saying, this coin is from the 60th year of the 15th cycle. According to the Numista page of this type (found here), it would be from either 1926, 1927, or 1928. In the Numista link, there are five different varieties listed between the 15/60 ones.

One is listed as "without dots in reverse arabesque," which yours is not. On the side with the date, there are five designs that all look similar, which would be the arabesques. All five of yours have dots on top, meaning this is a Y#21.2 instead of a Y#21.1a.

Out of the four left: one is listed as "6 instead of 60," which yours is not; and two are described as overdates varieties, but I am not seeing any overdates. So, that leaves one type left: the one from 1926 in the Gregorian calendar.

And, assuming you have not already found it, the NGC page of this type can be found here, if you are interested in that.
